Next to the Bible my greatest joy in reading is discovering books that extol the grace and mercy of our God in salvation. I have read Owen, Spurgeon, Calvin and many other reformed writers but none give as clear an understanding of the beauty of our great God in bestowing salvation upon such unworthy and wretched sinners as Abraham Booth does.
I noticed where another left in their comment "from beginning to end, every italicized phrase in the edition appears without proper spacing. Most of those italicized phrases are Scripture quotes. This is very annoying for the reader." I have the kindle version and it appears that this problem has been remedied.
If you love the Doctrines of Grace and find your heart leaping with joy when you read about the great grace and mercy that God has shown in sovereignly choosing you to be His then this book will absolutely thrill you.

This is not a review of the content but of the format. From beginning to end, every italicized phrase in the edition appears without proper spacing. Most of those italicized phrases are Scripture quotes. This is very annoying for the reader.
Hopefully those who have provided this version will make the corrections so that the reader can enjoy this classic work without the distraction.
Unfortunately this edition of a great classic is not a facsimile reprint but has been completely retyped and very poorly so. Upon purchasing it I discovered, to my disappointment, that it contains some very serious formatting errors. Apart from the numerous spelling mistakes chapter 3 is altogether missing and in its stead chapter 2 is repeated but under the chapter 3 heading. If you do not believe me friends, then go to 'Look inside this book' and see for yourself.
