I love it when I find a book that is literally just a lighthearted romp with lots of stops in the bedroom. This book fits that perfectly. It's the first time I've read this author and it exceeded my expectations. There were several phrases that the author used that literally made me laugh out loud. The only complaint I have is that I wanted it to be longer! I wasn't ready to be done when it ended. I want more!Product details

I loved Second Chances, but I was also impressed with so much of it. At the beginning, I thought it was going to be a typical, but good contemporary romance;it far exceeded my expectations. The complexity of the characters extended to most of the secondary characters who each had a story to tell rather than just providing support or foil for the main characters. The romance was sweet, lovely, and HOT but not erotic.
Rhiannon's divorce has kicked her into doing something she has always wanted to do, go to Wales and and research women warriors and goddesses in a land where they are still respected. She shelled out a nice chunk of money for a house with meals in a town that sounded perfect.
Ram (Ramsey McCleod) has had it with the rock scene and needs time in the town that has become home so he heads for Wales.
In their first, hilarious, encounter that fact that she doesn't recognize him only increase how much this bit of a woman intrigues him.
You can see why I thought, "Typical romance", but life races and twists whether we want it to or not and so do their lives. The warm, strength, humor and more than a bit of head-strong stubbornness turn this into a novel to be remember and reread.
I received my copy of Second Chances from the author in exchange for an honest review. I was thrilled to be able to tell Leigh Morgan and the rest of the world that I LOVED it.
Bought this book because of all the good reviews, boy was I wrong....this book is so cliche (girl meets boy,immediately falls into bed,then into love,girl leaves boy, they reunite, boy leaves girl and finally HAPPY ENDING. This "novel" is really 100 pages longer then it needs to be. The editing is horrible and some sentences have to be read twice for you to understand what the author is trying to say. Save your money and your time and don't bother.There are better book's available in the kindle library.
My favorite Leigh Morgan book! A wonderful read to curl up with on a weekend and escape. One of life's guilty little pleasures! Keep at it. This book is romantic fiction with a brain.

Where do I start? I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was incredibly difficult to put down, since Leigh draws you in and has you wanting to know more. I tried savoring the last 60 pages or so, and was upset when SECOND CHANCES had to end. It was a wonderful story, with characters I could relate too and wanted to take home with me! I told myself on numerous occasions "I NEED a Ram!" and wasn't joking. I loved the way Leigh's characters were developed and how her scenes flowed beautifully. The imperfections found in all SECOND CHANCES characters made me enjoy reading them even more. I won't give anything away, but I must say, the scene with the sheep had me laughing out loud! I actually caught myself laughing through a lot of this story. SECOND CHANCES deserves nothing less than 5 stars, and I will be letting all of my reader friends know how much I enjoyed it! I will definitely be reading more by this author. Truly a must read for anyone interested in romance!
I loved this book. The settings are terrific, and I especially enjoyed the humanity of the characters. You don't have to be perfect, just willing to learn and change, and accept others as they are.
How can you not love a book which early on has the heroine, Rhiannon, cussing on a recalcitrant sheep for not getting off the road? Recently divorces, Rhia is on a mission--to spend the summer researching Celtic warrior women and rejoin the dating world. What she finds is some much more when Ram enters her world and literally turns it upside down.
This story is filled with humor, difficult family relationships, steamy romantic relationships, a bit of Welsh magic, and a delightful way to spend your reading time.
